The French retailer E.Leclerc has announced that the chain has decided to lower the prices of 4,600 private label products. The store is to maintain this decline throughout the year 2019. This decision concerns food products but also household and hygiene/beauty products, excluding products of agricultural and aquacultural origins.

The chain aims with this prices reduction to protect the purchasing power of the French customers.

The store has confirmed that In order to support producers, products from agriculture, fishing and aquaculture (meat, fish, milk, fruits and vegetables …) are not affected by this decline.

This measure took effect on January 2nd and will be vital throughout the year. It intervenes whatever the place of sale, namely in all 681 stores.
