In Wattrelos, near Roubaix, Decathlon has implemented a pilot plant whose objective is to implement new processes for the manufacture of shoes and boots.

The plant is also involved in production tools and has implemented new measures by integrating the Easypitch interactive screen to optimize its manufacturing processes in terms of manufacturing time management and product quality.

The pilot plant is not a factory like the others, it is a workshop of methods where the operators are just a few (twenty people). The products are designed, produced in small series that are close to a few hundred pairs in a permanent concern for quality.

Indeed, the purpose of this plant is to produce … information on small series of manufacturing. Everything is measured, quality controls are done at all stages of manufacture where time is carefully managed.

Depending on the requests made by the factories, a program to improve manufacturing processes is defined. Optimize the production cycle time, increase the rate of the compliant product, maximize the rate of use of equipment, these are examples of the objective of this pilot plant.
