Cupcakes and a cuppa – The perfect afternoon tea from The Co-operative

For a truly tremendous treat, The Co-operative Food is serving up a duo of new cupcakes at great-value prices.

Available in two tasty and popular varieties, chocolate and vanilla, the cupcakes will be in selected stores nationwide from 17 October at just £1.50 for a pack of two. They are perfect enjoyed with a delicious cup of The Co-operative’s iconic Fairtrade 99 Tea for a spot of afternoon indulgence.

The Co-operative Chocolate Cupcakes have a deliciously light sponge made from free-range eggs. The pretty cakes are topped with creamy chocolate buttercream and marshmallows, and decorated with sugar decorations – perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

For an ice-cream-cone inspired dessert, The Co-operative Vanilla Sundae Cupcakes are simply divine. Vanilla sponges, also made with free-range eggs, are topped with vanilla buttercream and finished off with mini milk chocolate flakes and sugar decorations.

Meanwhile, The Co-operative’s Fairtrade 99 Tea, which is more than 100 years old, has been given a fabulous new “retro” look this month to celebrate its heritage, as well as being awarded with a stamp of approval by consumer testers at the Good Housekeeping Institute. To celebrate, shoppers can now benefit from 20% off The Co-operative Fairtrade 99 Tea 160s from 10 – 30 October inclusive.
