After a long discussion inside the Cherokee commission, The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has approved “exceptional variances” for the construction of a Lidl food store near Woodstock.

The new store will be located in the southwest corner of Bells Ferry Road and Eagle Drive , where a 29,136-square-foot store with 128 parking spaces is proposed for the new location.

the German-based discount grocer has submitted a request to make use of the area outside the store to create more space for the parking area. The request is still being studied.
