Carrefour opens multiple stores across the globe.



The supermarket industry is increasingly geared to innovation. A new project of Carrefour hyper has opened in the shopping center of Grand Prés city ​​of Mons in Belgium. The project, company claims to revolutionize the shopping experience of the visitors. Carrefour recently opened its largest store in Asia at Siyuanqiao in Beijing. The store was French retailer’s first self-owned property store in China. With an area of 71,380 square meters, this new store offers nearly 40,000 products, including over 6,000 imported products.

As stated by the supermarket chain, the goal of Carrefour was to design a universal store that could offer its customers a single, linear and continuous shopping environment. The Belgium store has a total of more than 30 thousand products, with particular focus on beer, wine and fresh produce. The strong point of this store is the fact that many of these products are made directly in stores and consumers themselves can see the production process. Which means maximum freshness and maximum transparency, the company swanked.

Carrefour also announced its intention to open another two supermarkets in Craiova, Eugen Carada Street and Boulevard Nicolae Iorga. Artima, the controlling of the French Market supermarkets in the local market, will operate them. The company operates hypermarkets Carrefour Romania with the same name and is responsible for supplying franchised convenience stores under the brands open Express and Contact.
