Carrefour announces the opening of “cafés” in several stores

Carrefour Belgium plans to develop catering spaces, called “Carrefour Café”, in several of its stores in 2019, announced the company Wednesday. The Carrefour Market in Belle-Ile, Liège, hosts the first coffee of this type.

These spaces will allow consumers to find meal solutions for every moment of the day, as well as convenient services like free Wi-Fi and charging stations.

Last April, Carrefour Belgium and Medi-Market Group also signed a long-term partnership that will make it possible to offer health and well-being products in hypermarkets. Parapharmacies will move to stores where the demand for this type of products is strong and where space is sufficient.
