Brussels offers compelling reasons for FRUIT LOGISTICA participation

Exhibitor registration for the leading international fresh produce trade fair open until 31 July 2014

Berlin, 13 May 2014 – Brussels is sending positive signals for the fresh produce trade. The EU budget earmarked for sales promotion programmes for agricultural products has been significantly increased. Funds over the next few years will gradually be raised from the current EUR 61 million to EUR 200 million. 70 percent of the funding for future projects in domestic markets will come from the EU budget. Projects in third countries, or joint projects with applicants from multiple European countries, will receive an even higher share from the EU: 80 percent. In other words, it pays to recruit partners from as many countries as possible for joint campaigns aimed at promoting fruit and vegetable consumption. FRUIT LOGISTICA, scheduled for 4-6 February 2015 in Berlin, is an ideal platform for international dialogue.

FRUIT LOGISTICA is characterised by its international scope. Leading decision-makers from around the world take advantage of the opportunities at the three-day trade event to build business relations and expand their expertise. This year’s event attracted more than 62,000 trade visitors from 141 countries. A full range of products and services was presented by some 2,600 exhibitors from 84 countries. Commenting on the excellent results of the 2014 trade fair, FRUIT LOGISTICA Global Brand Manager Gérald Lamusse commended the “Outstanding business results, high level of decision-making authority among trade visitors and a record number of exhibitors and visitors.”
