Biedronka, Self-Service stores

Last year, Biedronka began testing self-service cash registers in its stores. Initially, they appeared in selected institutions in Warsaw and Gdansk. Now self-service cash registers have also been installed in Poznań.

Changes in Biedronka are to improve shopping comfort. – New technologies are present in many areas of the Biedronka network operations – says Karol Sęktas, head of store improvement department at Jeronimo Martins Polska.

And he adds: – One of the solutions tested recently are self-service cash registers that improve the efficiency of the store and allow better management of staff time.

As the representatives of Biedronka explain, the Portuguese network will strive to have self-service cash registers in stores all over the country in 2019.
