Biedronka on the occasion of Fat Thursday promotes donuts without palm oil and artificial additives

On the previous Fat Thursday, Biedronka sold nearly 12 million donuts, and over 25 million on the whole week. In this year’s offer, the network has 16 types of “fat-day” products: from donuts to confetti with donuts. Donuts are the most popular, especially the Sweet Land brand and Confectionery.

“Every year, our donuts, faworki and donut are bought by millions of customers. Only on Fat Thursday in 2018 we sold nearly 12 million donuts. Knowing how important this product is for each of the Poles, we set ourselves a difficult task to improve the recipe of our own brand donuts. Thanks to these efforts, Sweet Frozen Biedronka donuts do not contain any artificial flavors and dyes or palm oil. Importantly, it is also not used to fry them – here we use the same type of fat that our grandmothers used, ” – says Adam Lalewicz, a specialist in quality development and own brand control in Biedronka.
