Best of IT: from enterprise portals to data centre & cloud

For the seventh time SPAR ICS, one of the largest IT employers in Salzburg, invited colleagues and partners from the industry to the 2012 TechUP meeting at the end of September. In addition to ICS leaders, the who’s who of the IT scene was present, strategic partners as well as CIO of other large companies. Under the theme ‘Best of IT – solutions to delight the customers’ more than 100 IT professionals discussed topics such as enterprise portals, mobile services, analytics & more as well as data centre & cloud.

The TechUp meeting initiated by SPAR ICS has become an IT industry event. The aim of the event is to present technological trends and solutions and to discuss them with experts. “It is about sharing internal and external knowhow”, says Hannes Leobacher, Head of IT SPAR Austria.

From HP to Oracle: the who’s who of the IT scene
With 350 employees, SPAR ICS is one of the most significant IT companies

in the Salzburg area. Therefore, strategic partners such as Fabasoft, HP, Oracle and SAP as well as CIO and IT managers of other large companies such as Sony, Red Bull and Swarowski, accepted the invitation to TechUp 2012.

Internal and external speakers presented on the following four major areas: enterprise portals, mobile services, analytics & more as well as data centre & cloud. Highlights included the presentations

on the new SPAR employee portal, mobile Apps and cloud services.

International working environment
SPAR ICS operates systems for 7,000 users in 2,500 locations in eight countries. “We are a top employer, offering an international environment”, says ICS Managing Director Andreas Kranabitl. “I am proud that we always succeed in bringing international IT topics and IT professionals on stage.”
