Auchan recalls contaminated salmon

Auchan retail chain has recalled two of its products yesterday, smoked salmon, potentially contaminated with listeria. Listeria monocytogenes was detected after microbiological control board tests on smoked salmon from Norway. Those who purchased the product should destroy or return it for a refund. The chain’s spokesperson told that if you have consumed the same and have been affected by fever, probably with a headache, consult a doctor.

Listeriosis particularly affects the elderly and those whose immune systems are weakened, the same is in the case of pregnant women and their newborns. The spokesperson added that they will be more cautious in dealing with fish & meat products in the future to avoid such unfavourable situations.
