Asda , steady steps forward

Walmart’s UK subsidary Asda, which is merging with Sainsbury’s, has reported lately its sixth straight quarter of underlying sales growth, to precede its potential partner in the merge Sainsbury’s. Asda stated that it has been receiving an extra 115,000 shoppers visiting its stores during the previous period, it is expected that the cut prices and the discounts that Asda has been applying during this quarter such as the fuel price cut and the occasional discounts played a major role in attracting more customers all around the country .

Chief Executive Roger Burnley  said : “In a challenging third quarter for the market we continued to focus on the areas that we know are important to our customers and deliver on our strategic priorities,”.
