With a natural sweeter flavor it also boasts to have more Vitamin C than an orange. Charlie Mills, Asda’s fresh produce manager, said: “We’ve been working with growers for seven years, and we’re confident our pepper will earn its stripes with mums and kids alike.”

She added: “Our shoppers absolutely loved our stripy peppers when they were launched last summer, so we’re excited to re-launch this unique fruit. Not only does it save shoppers money, it also boosts nutrient levels with a high dose of vitamin C. The taste of the product is at the heart of what we’re trying to do at Asda.”
