AQUA PURA SUPPORTS THE BUPA GREAT RUN SERIES FOR THE SEVENTH YEAR

Bottled water brand, Aqua Pura, is supporting the Bupa Great Run series for the seventh year running, promoting healthy hydration to over 200,000 participants.

Aqua Pura kicked off the sponsorship by giving away over 300,000 bottles of 100% Cumbrian-sourced water to 55,000 dedicated runners at the Bupa Great North Run followed by support at last weekend’s Bupa Great Edinburgh Run.

Following this success, Aqua Pura will help runners cross the finish line at the series’ next two events – the Bupa Great Birmingham Run and finishing with the Bupa Great South Run on 28th October – by giving away over half a million bottles of water in total.

Nova International, organisers of the Great Run series, has received increasing numbers of participants over the years with sponsored runners raising over £50 million every year for charity.

As part of Aqua Pura’s commitment to help people to get more active whilst fundraising for charities, the brand also sponsored two new sporting events earlier this year – the Great Manchester Cycle and the Karrimor Great Trail Challenge in Kendal – along with the UK’s biggest open water swim, the Great North Swim at Windermere.

The bottled water giveaways across the calendar of UK sporting events are part of on-going investment for the brand including advertising and on-pack consumer promotions.
