On Thursday 2nd November, discount supermarket Aldi is bringing back its popular Specially Selected Wagyu Burgers for only £3.49, just in time for Bonfire Night celebrations!

Made with premium quality Wagyu beef from cattle bred and grass-fed on open New Zealand pastures, the burgers will be available in stores for a fraction of the price of high-end restaurants which can cost as much as £40 per 100g.

Julie Ashfield, Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying at Aldi UK, said: “By sourcing from some of the finest Wagyu producers in New Zealand, Aldi continues to offer unique and premium quality products at unbeatable prices.”

Taking their name from the famous Japanese Kobe Wagyu, which can sell for up to £500 a kilo in Japan,[2] the meat is renowned for its distinctive marbling of fat which melts while it cooks, making for a super succulent, tender, melt-in-the-mouth burger.

Also, look out for the other great meat deals in store this week:

  • Footlong Sausages – £0.99 (for two)
  • Salted Caramel Gammon Joint – £6.49
  • Beef Burnt Ends – £2.99
  • Skinny Sausages – £2.29
  • Lime & Chilli Chicken Wings – £2.19
