German discounter supermarket Aldi has announced its plan to open 14 more stores in Western Australia during 2017. The supermarket chain would be opening its next store in Morley, followed by stores in Cockburn, Lakelands, South Fremantle, Spearwood, Banksia Grove and Secret Harbour. The remaining locations have not been revealed yet. Aldi opened 19 stores in Western Australia in 2016.
Aldi entered into Western Australia supermarket sector in 2016 and serves more than 3.2 million customers ever since. Supermarket is reportedly planning to have a total of 70 stores in Western Australia. With the news initiations, the total number of stores in the country will become 33.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “We’ve seen strong demand for our chocolate, cleaning products, eggs, locally grown beef and fresh produce.”
