Munich – Aldi recalls back one of the products – but in this case, it is about the safety of children. Affected is a children’s jeans, which was sold in all Aldi-Nord stores. For “reasons of preventive consumer protection”, the article must be recalled, said the discounter in a message.
Aldi Nord: Recall of children’s jeans – small parts could be solved
The discounter asks its customers to return the article “toddlers jeans overrides for boys” of the brand “Pocopiano” in an Aldi Nord. The product number is “EAN 29009237”.
The supplier of the jeans pointed out that possibly small parts of the product could solve themselves, it continues in the Aldi message. If toddlers swallow these parts, there is a danger of suffocation. It is therefore strongly advised against the further use of the product, so the discounter.
The situation is particularly unpleasant for the discounter, since the jeans have been sold since May 6, 2019 in all Aldi-Nord stores. Meanwhile, the product was taken out of the sale.
Aldi expresses regret on his own website and apologizes for the inconvenience. For consumer questions, the supplier, Furlano Textilhandelsgesellschaft, is at the disposal.
