As part of its $3.4 billion expansion plan  to open 2,500 stores in 35 states Aldi opened a new store in Minneapolis.

  Just a few blocks from the other Aldi store at 2100 E.Lake St. look even dowdier, Aldi has announced lately that they are opening a new store in the former Rainbow Foods in Minneapolis.

 The new 23,000 square feet store is located at 2913th AV. S. Minneapolis according to the StarTribune website, 
 Aldi division vice-president Matt Lilla said to the website:”We have no plans to close the location on E. Lake St. in the near future.”
