Aldi in Berkshire to donate more than 82,000 unsold meals after Christmas


As it was promised in all Aldi’s stores that after Christmas they are going to donate the unsold perishable food.

Aldi in Berkshire teamed up with more than 82,368 meals that contain fresh food after the shift on Monday, December 24th 2018.

Managing Director of Corporate Responsibility, Fritz Walleczek, said: “By donating fresh food such as bread, fruit and vegetables and meat we’ve been able to support charities in providing warm and healthy festive meals this Christmas season.”

More than 500 Charities around the UK have benefited from the initiative, with more than 798,744 meals donated.
