Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy Show has announced the winners for the current year. Supermarket chains Coles and Aldi wins big along with a range of independent brands. Aldi’s Farm dale Fresh Full Cream Milk won the best Milk award. While Coles grabbed the best Cheese price with its Coles Extra Reserve Cheddar.In the Yoghurt category Gourmet’s Vanilla & Rose Organic Yoghurt was pronounced the winner. Harry & Larry’s Peanut butter fudge ice cream won the best in the ice cream category. The best chocolate milk award went to Coach House Dairy Chocolate Milk beating past many big names. Brilliant food’s Smoked Kingfish Rillettes dip won the top price in the dip category.

The prestigious Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy awards made news in 2013 when the German discounter supermarket Aldi bagged as many as 49 awards, including eight gold. The Show has been operating in its current format since 1994. The Competition attracts over 900 entries in 104 classes. Products judged include an extensive range of cheese, milk, butter, dip, dairy dessert, gelato and ice cream created from bovine milk as well as sheep, goat and buffalo milk. Up until 2016, the Show incorporated the Sydney Royal Chocolate Competition, which features the very impressive Showpiece class. From 2016, the Chocolate Competition will be stepping out as a stand-alone Show.
