Discount supermarket Aldi is offering shoppers the chance to make huge savings over the Christmas period with the launch of its wooden toy range, which includes everything from wooden kitchens and train sets, to theatres and espresso machines.
With savings of up to £110.00, compared to high-end retailer John Lewis’ range of almost identical products, Aldi is set to capitalise on the renewed demand for wooden toys this festive season, saving shoppers up to 76%.
Classic toys, which support intergenerational play, are continuing to surge in popularity and are sure to be all the rage this festive season. As a result, Aldi is offering a variety of nostalgic wooden toys from 26th October, which will help parents to inspire their children to step away from the electronics this Christmas.
Building on the popularity of previous ranges, the new quality FSC certified wooden toy line-up includes both classic and modern options, such as a Wooden Theatre, Workbench and Pirate Ship, and is sure to leave grown-ups reminiscing of their own childhood while keeping kids entertained for hours.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director for Corporate Buying at Aldi comments “Our range of wooden toys has become increasingly popular in recent years with the whole range selling out online in less than a week in 2016.
“This year, we’re set to launch an even bigger and better range of wooden toys for Christmas, including everything from Kitchens to Play Shops and Railway Sets.
“We have also noticed an increased call for wooden toys that are based on modern kitchen appliances, as children love to mimic their parents. To meet this demand, we have introduced new wooden play versions of the gadgets found in kitchens up and down the country, including an espresso machine, stand mixer and even a smoothie maker.
“We work hard to ensure we maintain high-quality products, which is why all our wooden toys are FSC certified, but we also ensure they’re great-value and competitively priced.”
Items are on sale from 26th October, and with prices ranging from under £4.99 to £69.99 shoppers should pop the date in their diary because as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!
