Auchan Retail Spain has launched a virtual assistant to recommend wines to users after processing their tastes, budget and preferences with artificial intelligence.

The customer who wishes can access this Alcampo assistant on their website, in the Facebook Messenger profile and in the stores themselves through a QR code.

Iker, the name of this virtual sommelier, offers the customer the right broth for each meal, facilitating their purchase, taking into account the different pairings, types of wines, Protected Designations of Origin and budget, among others.

For the creation of the project, Auchan has worked with, a Spanish artificial intelligence startup for conversational commerce solutions using text and voice bots.

This expert comes after the first (toy recommender) that the company incorporated to improve the customer experience in the digital environment.
