Lidl tests the online sale of fresh food products in Madrid. To do this the discounter collaborates with the online platform Lola Market.
The Lidl supermarket chain has affiliated with Lola Market, an online sales platform for foodstuffs. From now on the complete offer of the discounter, including the fresh products, ie 2000 references in total, will be available online for the clients of the Spanish capital.
For now, the new service is being tested in stores in the centre of Madrid, but the goal is to expand it quickly to the outskirts of the city and perhaps even eventually to other cities where Lola Market is present.
The prices of products sold via the platform are identical to those charged in the physical stores of the German distributor. “True to our promise of being the cheapest, we wanted our products on Lola Market to be marketed at the same prices as in our stores,” said Carlos Gonzalez-Vilardell, e-commerce manager at Lidl Spain. “Thus the online customer will benefit from the same offers and promotions as in our physical points of sale. We hope this collaboration will be successful and that we can expand it in the future. “
In principle, deliveries are made the same day: either within one hour or at the time desired by the customer. The shipping costs are fixed, regardless of the value or volume of the order. To promote this new service customer will receive a reduction of 10 euros on their first order.
