Romania :  ” 5 to go ” coffee, A new partnership with Carrefour to install coffee corners.

The value-focused coffee company will build 11 ‘Coffee Corner 5 to Go’ locations within the Romanian network of the grocery chain, while also expanding its retail distribution reach.

 

5 to go, a Romanian coffee brand, has announced a strategic cooperation with Carrefour to launch a new ‘Coffee Corner 5 to go’ concept in 11 Carrefour shops.

The value-focused coffee company, which had 400 outlets in Romania by October 2022, said it would open the first three Carrefour locations at the end of 2022 and has another five ready to go.

At addition, 5 to go retail items will be available in Carrefour supermarkets throughout Romania, including a ready-to-drink coffee variety and Nespresso-compatible 5 to go coffee capsules.

5 to go referenced company-commissioned research in a press release, stating that 83% of survey respondents across Romania wanted to see 5 to go items marketed more broadly outside of its café network.

5 to go Co-Founder Radu Savopol said the store roll-out and Coffee Corner debut signified ‘the beginning’ of its relationship with Carrefour and that the two firms will soon ‘create commercial ideas on various levels’.

In order to achieve 600 stores throughout its five countries of Romania, Belgium, France, Hungary, and the United Kingdom by 2023, the firm plans to establish 150 new stores in 2023.
