BCP rolls out upgraded EPoS solution to SPAR stores
Retail solutions provider Business Computer Projects Ltd (BCP) has successfully rolled out an upgraded version of the SPARPoS point of sale software solution to independent and company owned stores across SPAR UK’s estate to support the company’s new EFT solution and give retailers a faster, more secure means of serving customers and handling card payments.The upgrade was prompted by SPAR’s desire to facilitate the uptake of contactless payment and to ensure that customer credit and debit card information would be handled more securely and satisfy PCI DSS compliancy regulations.
BCP is one of the UK’s top suppliers of specialist software solutions to the Retail industry. BCP clients include Nisa Today’s, Westmorland, Pets at Home, Morrisons Supermarkets and ARAMARK.
Requiring minimal training for staff and minimal disruption to daily store operations, the transition to the new solution has been seamless, rolling out to almost 700 stores and almost 2,100 checkouts over a period from May to November 2011. The system will roll out to a further 300 stores over the coming months.
