Tesco Releases Top 12 Toy List for 2012

UK market leader Tesco has released a list of the top twelve toys that they predict will top the Christmas sales lists across the country this year. The compilation by the supermarket giant runs as follows:
- LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer 2 – Leapfrog
- Barbie Puppy Play Park – Mattel
- Vtech Innotab 2 – Vtech
- Moshi Monsters by Moshi Home – Vivid
- Furby – Hasbro
- Monopoly Millionaire – Hasbro
- Lego City The Mine – Lego Ltd
- Fisher Price Disney Sing Along Choo Choo – Mattel
- Nerf Elite Hail-Fire – Hasbro
- Web Shooting Spiderman – Hasbro
- Air Hogs Hover Assault – Spinmaster
- Octonauts Octopod Playset – Mattel
Trend experts at the supermarket predict that hi-tech toys will be the best selling this year. John Stanhope, Tesco’s Toys Category Manager, said that “It’s no surprise that technology is at the top of the list – the LeapPad and Innotab are like kids’ versions of the tablet computers that many parents will be hoping to find under the Christmas tree. But it’s great to see some classic toys on the list too, such as Barbie and Monopoly, which bring families together. We work hard to make sure our Christmas toys offer parents something to suit all ages and budgets.”
