Asda Relaunches in Finance

By Laura Elliott.

Walmart-owned retailer Asda has started the relaunch of its finance business with the release of a new cashback credit card. The move follows the announcement last month by upmarket chain M&S, that they are now launching a full service bank. Asda is now plunging back into the finance sector with an all new brand, billed ‘Asda Money’.

The new casbback credit card is the element which seems to have caught most spectator’s eyes. It is called the Asda Money credit card, and it will give customers 1% cashback on all spending in-store, including on money spent on fuel. Customers will also receive 0.5% cashback on all spending away from the Asda chain.

There is no annual fee for the ownership of Asda’s new credit card, and it also boasts a 12-month 0% balance transfer deal.
