Tesco’s Charitable ATMs

By Laura Elliott.

Tesco Bank has launched a new scheme in which its ATMs will allow customers to make charitable donations from today. Users of the ATMs will be offered the option of donating between £1 and £300 to any of the supermarket giant’s seven chosen charities via the ATMs at the chain’s 2200 UK stores.

According to Tesco, five of these seven charities were chosen because they focused on developing children and young people. These five are the Teenage Cancer Trust, Save the Children, Action for Children, Barnardo’s and Together for Short Lives.

The company’s charity of the year, Cancer Research UK, as well as the Disasters Emergency Committee, have also been chosen to be part of the scheme.
