Asda recalls tiger sausage rolls due to improper labelling

The retailer has recalled a pack of sausage rolls after the Food standard’s Authority directed that it could cause a possible health risk due to improper labelling. The Authority told it a statement that the retailer has to recall its Sausage Rolls six pack—which cost £1.50—because it contain milk and the same is not listed in the ingredients list. In a statement it told that the product is subjected to a possible health risk for anyone who has an intolerance or allergy to milk or its constituents.

The authority advises everyone who has purchased this product to return it to the same store where it is bought for a full refund. The retailer has consulted all the relevant allergy support organisations to convey the issue and a point-of-sale notice to its customers in which it describes why the product has been recalled and explains them what to do with the sausage rolls if they bought it and it further adds that the retailer is sorry for the inconvenience caused to its customers. The retailer told in a statement that no need to show any receipt when asking for a complete refund. In the beginning of the year also it witnessed its own –brand Sponge Pudding which was not labelled milk constituents–recalled.
