Ostrich steaks back by popular demand
To help combat the end of summer blues, Aldi will be offering its customers another chance to indulge in an amazingly lavish tasting, yet inexpensive steak. Due to popular demand, its South African Free Range Ostrich Steaks will be back on sale for a limited time only, at just £4.99 for a pack of two.
The succulent meat is seen as a delicacy in some of the finest restaurants, with its price tag reaching £28 for one steak at London’s largest South African restaurant, Shaka Zulu.
From the Southern Cape in South Africa, these free range ostrich steaks offer exceptional quality at a great price making it no surprise that each time they are sold, they fly off the shelves. The first-rate steaks give customers the chance to try this low in fat, high protein delicacy at an affordable price, adding excitement to the weekly shop. Tony Baines, Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying at Aldi said, “After successfully bringing an unusual yet tasty premium red meat to our stores last year, and the huge demand for our Wagyu Beef Burgers on August Bank Holiday, we wanted to feed our customers’ mounting appetite for eccentric meats.
“This is why we’re giving everyone another chance to savour the summer and get their hands on this flavoursome premium product at an everyday low price.
