Showcasing the very best Britain has to offer, Sainsbury’s Entertainment has launched a new promotion with selected savings on a range of the nation’s favourite movies, books and music.

Starting today and running until 28th May, the “Best of British” promotion features fantastic price drops on over 350 carefully chosen ebooks, movies and albums, which can be purchased and downloaded online from the Sainsbury’s Entertainment and eBooks by Sainsbury’s websites.

“Best of British” includes a huge range of home grown silver screen gems, from newly released family favourite Paddington, to powerful and inspirational classics such as The King’s Speech.

To celebrate the UK’s rich literary history, Sainsbury’s Entertainment on Demand has compiled a list of over 60 bestselling titles that have defined our reading habits over the last century. The ebooks will be on sale at reduced prices, including Ian Fleming’s Casino Royale and One Day by David Nicholls, both now available for just £1.99.

With everything from pop to new wave, electro to rock, Sainsbury’s Entertainment on Demand has selected the most influential British musical acts to feature in its “Best of British” promotion. This includes over 150 albums from the Swinging Sixties – via the Britpop era, when Blur introduced a nation to Parklife and Pulp sang about Common People – all the way to the present day. And as if that wasn’t enough, each album downloaded during the promotion will earn customers 100 bonus Nectar points.

Sharon Nightingale, head of commercial, Sainsbury’s Entertainment on Demand, commented: “This is an exciting promotion that not only celebrates the nation’s most significant cultural achievements, but also offers our customers some fantastic deals on movie, book and music downloads. Keep an eye on the Sainsbury’s Entertainment website for more exciting promotions coming soon.”
