Private label re-launch for Spar stores

Spar will relaunch its entire private label range in early 2009 as they adapt to the current difficult economic climate and try to appeal to value seeking consumers.  The retailer is to overhaul and rationalise its 900 SKU range, rebranding products as 'Spar Extra Value', using new red and white packaging designs and price marking.


Spar brand marketing controller Vicky Shepherd, said: "We want to offer a highly visible range of relevant value lines to our customers while using Spar own label as a sales driver for retailers.  This will achieve more sales at higher margin and generate increased customer loyalty, frequency of spend and visit."
