In the upcoming year of 2024, ISM, the world’s premier trade fair for sweets and snacks, is set to be more dynamic and internationally enriched than ever. Boasting 1,350 exhibitors hailing from 70 countries and featuring 35 pavilions across Europe, Asia, North and South America, the event will showcase a broad spectrum of products and cutting-edge innovations. The roster includes established global leaders, national industry giants, as well as emerging companies and start-ups from nations such as Albania, Algeria, Canada, Jordan, and Uzbekistan.

Across the six halls of ISM, attendees will immerse themselves in the sensory world of sweets and snacks. Hall 4.2’s expansion, featuring new country pavilions from the USA, Latin America, and the Middle East, contributes to the event’s heightened international diversity. These additions complement the established pavilions from Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Hall 5.2 will see the continuation and expansion of the successful Lab5 by ISM, promising a unique and enriching trade fair experience.

Additional highlights include the prestigious ISM Award, presented annually to an individual for outstanding contributions to the sweets and snacks industry. The New Product Showcase (NPS) remains diverse, with the top three innovative products celebrated during the ISM Night on Sunday. The Consumer Award, in collaboration with Foodnewsgermany, will be bestowed for the second consecutive year.

The Expert Stage program offers trend lectures and market analyses by industry leaders such as Innova Market Insights and Euromonitor, start-up pitches, and discussions on various themes, including Digital Education in collaboration with DMEXCO. Best practice examples from the sweets industry will cover topics such as energy efficiency, sustainability, climate-friendly production, regenerative value chains, and the recycling economy.

A novel addition to the agenda is the innovative speed dating format bringing together exhibitors and influencers in the sweets and snacks sector. This format fosters networking, promoting new product collaboration within the community and enhancing brand recognition.

Furthermore, the ISM get-together on Sunday evening, catering specifically to young professionals, provides an informal meeting point to conclude the first day of the fair in a relaxed atmosphere.

From speed dating for exhibitors and influencers to the ISM get-together for Young Professionals, ISM 2024 promises a fusion of diverse event formats and inspiring networking opportunities for industry professionals and enthusiasts from around the world.

ISM 2024 is co-hosted with the international supplier fair ProSweets Cologne, taking place from January 28 to 31. Tickets are available for purchase online now.
